Loading... Please wait...The whole house UV water filtration system is designed to provide every tap in the house with high quality drinking water, free from bacteria whilst maintaining high flow rates and pressures.
The system comprises of a 20" x 4.5" Jumbo sized 1 micron rated depth sediment filter for the effective removal of dirt, rust, sand, suspended matter and more. The expected servicable lifespan of this pre-filter is dependant on the how clean the supply of water is and also the volume of water filtered. We recommend you inspect your sediment filter after 3 months and again at 6 months or if a noticable drop in pressure to household taps is detected. The installation of pressure guages before and after the filtration system can help in the monitoring of any fouling of the filters. To prevent the 0.5 micron carbon block from becoming fouled it is recommended that the sediment filter is replaced at least every 6 months.
A Matrikx PB1 0.5 micron cyst and lead rated 20" x 4.5" Jumbo sized carbon block filter will remove chlorine for the first 158,000 litres (approximately 432 lites per day for 365 days. If daily usuage is higher please calculate daily average into 158,000 and replace sooner if required). The Matrix PB1 cyst and lead reduction filter also provides your family protection from deadly metals such as lead which can be found in many waterways and supplies as well as in new pipes. Lead has been proven to affect brain function and development especially in young children so a quality filter cartridge such as the MATRIKX PB1 cyst and lead reduction cartridge is highly recommended and should be replaced as recommended to ensure an optimum quality of water and protection.
The AquaPRO 45 litres per minute 39W Ultra Violet unit provides an extra level of protection from living organisms, bacteria and viruses which may be present in your water supply.
The AquaPRO 45 Ultra Violet unit consists of the following features:
Visual indicator and alarm for lamp failure.
30000mic. Watt/sec/cm2 at energy of 253.7nm wavelength.
Low power consumption.
Automatic controller to shut off water supply when lamp failure occurs (solenoid valve requirement).
Vertical or horizontal installation.
Unique diagonal inlet/outlet provides spiral current to prolong lighting duration and enhanced sterilising effect which effectively protects quartz sleeve from the possible damage or water hammer
Both ports can be either the inlet or outlet.
It is constructed of heavy duty 304 stainless steel pressure vessel, heavy duty UV lamps and quartz sleeves using highest grade “hard glass” pure fused quartz to allow highest output.
Ceramic end cap of UV lamp
TECHNICAL DATA:
9000 hours (1 year) lamp life
Working Pressure 100 PSI
120VAC or 240VAC
The two 20" x 4.5" jumbo housings are mounted seperately on single mounting brackets which allows for the installation of the UV lamp between the filters.
We highly recommend that a qualified plumber installs your whole house filter system.
You will require at least 350KPA of water pressure to a maximum of 600KPA or water flow to the house may be too low after the filtration system. If you are using tank water and pump, ensure that your pump is adequate to provide both the pressure at the point of filtration. Needless to say, if your pump is not strong enough or your head is too much, you will not be able to push enough water through the filtration system to utilise taps within the house without pressure considerable pressure loss.
When installing the UV system, ensure that only POLY fittings (not brass) are connected directly to the 304 stainless steel UV inlet and outlets (to avoid electrolysis). Do not try to undo the screw caps on the ends of the system, this holds in the quartz sleeve and you may break it if you do so. The UV bulb simply slides in the end and a rubber cap (located on the power cable) holds the bulb in place. Quartz sleeves are also broken when inserting or removing UV bulbs when the bulb is not taken out straight which puts pressure on the sleeve and enevitably breaks the sleeve. Please take care when changing the bulb to avoid damage to the sleeve and the bulb as these are not covered under warranty if broken.
