This premium bench top system is also well suited to filtering tank water (Check that you have at least 200KPA at your tap as you do need to have adequate water pressure for water to be passed through the filter). Tank water users may find that the cartridge will slime up after a number of months and servicable life may be greatly shortened due to the impurities collected on the filter surface. Some customers have informed us of a 4 month average per filter which is quite frequent but much better than getting a bout of Giardia we have been told. If there is excessive sediment or build up you may need to consider a pre-filter (1 micron polyspun filter) to deal with the slime and sediment and allow the carbon block to deal with any chemicals and cysts.
