• Volume of water treated
• Preceeding filter cartridges and thier ability to remove membrane damaging chemicals such as Chlorine
• Presence of bacteria in Feed water. Can greatly shorten the lifespan to a couple of months. Bacteria just loves to eat the membrane so please contact our office on 1300 879 283 if you plan to treat non chlorinated water such as bore water or tank water with your reverse osmosis water filter. Pre filtering the water with a Doulton Ceramic 0.2 micron sterisyl filter will greatly reduce bacteria in feed water and may be an option for you.
