The duel point TDS meter measures the level of TDS in the 'Feed' water going into the filter system just prior to the first filtration stage.

The Second stage is an Omnipure Coconut Carbon filter (6 months - 12 months life depending on usage and water quality. Recommend 6 monthly changes to maintain optimum performance. The Third stage is the Dow Filmtec Reverse Osmosis membrane 400LPD capacity (3-5 years depending on usage and regular proceeding filter changes to protect membrane from chlorine and sediments which will cause the membrane to break down over time).

The duel point TDS meter measures the purity of the water after the Ion exchange resin to provide the user with a pure reading. TDS is generally around 0-3ppm at this stage.

The Fifth stage is a 100% Calcite (crushed and screen marble) that corrects pH to approximately between pH7 and pH8.3. This stage of filtration will increase the TDS of the pure water as it increases mineral content and corrects pH levels. The Sixth and final stage of filtration is another Omnipure Coconut Carbon inline cartridge (life of 12 months depending on usage) which acts as the polishing filter to correct both taste and odour. You may notice that the water is sweeter than tap water or water from a coal based carbon filter. The reason for this is that Coal or Bitumenous carbon (very common and cheap) can release carbon dioxide and phosphates into the pure water as well as lower pH down into the acidic range which can give the pure water a metallic after taste. Many customers have conducted their own comparison of the tap water they had previously been drinking to the pure water. Firstly they drank a glass of pure water to cleanse the pallet, then they took a drink of tap water which was on almost all occasions, spat out in disgust. It's usually only when you taste pure water that you realise the massive difference between pure water and tap water.

This system includes an extra adapter for internal thread taps, silicone thread tape and instructions. 

Size of the unit is 35cm long x 17cm wide x 18cm high (about the size of a large loaf of bread) which is an ideal size for traveling or for someone who is renting. Fits neatly into a bag. 3 x John Guest 1/4" end caps are suggested for capping tubes when travelling (extra $3.30 each) 

The whole system comes complete with a cover, kitchen sink tap adapter which can be changed for a 3/4" tap adaptor and 1/4" John Guest Ball valve for connection to cold water tap on washing machine or for camping, when ordering.
